The Leadership Group is established to assist the Priests in the day-to-day running of the Parish – it enables us to seek advice and views on a variety of topics.  It provides healthy discussion and debate with a variety of views and suggestions, in this way a good way forward can be found.  

The leadership group meets every two weeks for about an hour and always begins with prayer and reflection.  Over the last few months, some of the discussions have been on the Holy Year, how to try to involve and include new parishioners as well as draw our young people into the life of the church.  Members are invited to for their particular skills, rather than to represent churches or parish masses.

The role of the Pastoral Council is to see beyond the immediate day to day business of Parish life – the Council is to have a vision – what and where the Parish might or should be in five or ten years – and then find ways to bring this about with the help of the Leadership Group and the various ministries in our Parish.  The group is made up of Parishioners and Clergy from across the Parish and led by Anne Dowling.

Safeguarding is a duty and commitment to which every member of the Church is called upon, to help care and protect all, in and around our Parish.

Providing a safe environment for children, adults at risk and all others is not only a legal and moral obligation but a spiritual one that falls to all members of the parish.  We are all responsible for making sure our ministries and our activities are characterised by mutual respect and a desire to attain the highest standard in safeguarding. The parish has a dedicated safeguarding team that  follow the Catholic Safeguarding Standards agency (CSSA) guidelines.
